Expected Impact

The fact that the European Union makes its various facilities and resources available to the international community for education and research, especially in developing countries, can greatly benefit faculty members, researchers and library students at various Iranian universities. This project’s book presents new and valuable tips and ideas taken from the public library experience of European countries. We hope that many of the questions and ambiguities that exist in the minds of Iranian managers and librarians about the place of public library service in our 21st century society can be answered in this book. The strength of the book lies in its reporting of objective experiences based on real data. It is hoped that this work will be welcomed and used to raise awareness ofEU programs, strategic plans and experiences for public libraries.The content of the book will aid in further developing the already extensive programs and activities of public libraries in Iran and thus improve services to our dynamic Iranian society.
